The goal was to build a catapult with a base no longer than one cubic meter that could toss a five kilogram mass at least 2.5 meters. We spent a few days doing calculations on tongue and creating small models of catapults to determine lever lengths, pivot points, and counter weight size. Last weekend they built them.
