Odyssey of the Minds Competition

Three Odyessey of the Mind teams from Madison competed at the Regional OM tournament
held on February 27 at Carbondale, Kansas. Team One in Division One competed in the
Nature Trail'R problem. The students on this team were Emma Murphy, Emily Farrow,
Tyler Walstrom, Kinsey Harlan and Alyssa Pyle. They were coached by Chris Murphy
and received 2nd place in their division. Team Two in Division One competed in the
Food Court problem. The students on this team were Katie Derryberry, Caitlin
Maltbie, Tommy Secord, Stephen Stutesman, Emma Platt and Dylan Maltbie. They were
coached by Cathy Kingery and received 3rd place in their division. Team Three in
Division Two competed in the Nature Trail'R problem. The students on this team were
Piper Brandt, Allyson Bond, Tori Melton, Quentin Haas and Katie Gehring. They were
coached by Cathy Kingery and Dacia Brandt. This team received 1st place in their
division and will be representing Madison at the State
OM tournament in Manhattan on March 27.
