Jr/Sr High Academic Assembly
Students Rewarded for Hard Work

On November 12, first period the students were called into the theatre for a school assembly. The assembly was held to recognize and reward all the hard work done by the students in the classrooms and for state assessment testing. There was $200 worth of prizes given away. (2) $20 Pizza Hut cards, (4) $15 iTunes cards, (2) $25 Wal-Mart cards, and (10) McDonalds cards. The criteria for having your name in the drawing for the prizes was: if you were on high honor roll you got your name in twice, honor roll once, and if your class got standard of excellence in a category you got 2 more chances.
The students were entertained by the 8th Grade Locker Room Singers and Mrs. McCollum singing Don't Stop Believing by Journey; The Magnificent 7 (Mrs. Helm, Mrs. Grimwood, Ms. Stetler, Mrs. McClelland, Ms. Elwood, Mrs. Platt, and Mrs. Bolinger) singing Mickey by Toni Basil to our own Mickey (Mr. Redeker); and the best performance was saved for last, Coach Mac as Jerry Lee Lewis singing Great Balls of Fire. Snacks and pop was enjoyed by all during the entertainment.
